AIR RAID PRECAUTIONS IN ENGLAND
ADDED ASSISTANCE FOR HOME SECRETARY (BBITIBH OIRCIAI TOKiIU.) (Received June 24, 7 p.m.) RUGBY, June 24. The Prime Minister Mr Neville Chamberlain) announced in the House of Commons that in view of the volume and importance of the work of the Home Office in air raid precautions Earl Winterton has agreed to help the Home Secretary (Sir Samuel Hoare) with the other work of his department both at the Home Office and in the House, thus enabling the Under-Secretary (Mr Geoffrey Lloyd) to devote practically the whole of his time to assisting the Home Secretary in c9nducting air raid precautions business.
