Correspondents who do not comply with our rules set out in the last column of our Leader Page will excuse us from noticing their letters.
Puzzled. —In the absence of any local authority on the game, two proficient players were approached and in their opinion your interpretation of rule 17 was the correct one. They said that to ‘‘compel the- take” and to ‘‘huff” were not the same thing. E. J. Jekyll.—Your letter has been referred to the board for comment. When the comment comes to hand, the letter will be printed. Blackamoor.—Correspondence on the subject has closed, subject to the right of reply of the initiator.
