WEEKLY SHOOT AT MOUNT SOMERS
There was a good attendance at the weekly shoot of the Mount Somers Miniature Rifle Club. Shoots for the No. 2 trophy were concluded, in conjunction with shoots for the various cups and special trophies. Best scores were:—H. Hood, 80, 78: Miss K. Bland, 79, 79; K. McKenzie, 78, 76; H. McKenzie, 78, 71; G. Bland, 78, 76; R. Brown. 78, 71; L. Morgan, 77, 77; G. Morgan, 77; A. Rose, 76, 76; L. Hood. 76. 76; J Stephen, 76; B. Mears, 74; A. Wood 74; H. Mclver 73. 72; W. Beckley. 70; M. Murphy, 69; E. Ivey. 68; C. McKenzie, 68; S. Townsend. 67; G. Rushton 67; H. Stephen, 64; B. Mclver, 62; W. Beatty. 59. The hotty button was won by Miss Bland and the trophy by H. Hood. With eight shoots completed, leading scores for the Woolmers Cup are:—Miss K. Bland 627, H. Hood 622. L. Hood 606, K. McKenzie 601, For the W. N. Hood Memorial Cup leading scores are:—K. McKenzie 641, Miss K. Bland 640, H. Mood 638.
METHVEN CLUB’S SHOOT The weekly shoot of the Methven Miniature Rifle Club was held recently. There was a good attendance and close scores in the club trophy shoot. The best scores were:—E. J. Watson 76. 77 (9) —162; J. Rouse, 72, 77 (8) —157; T. Middleton, 78. 76 (2)—156; J. E. Carr, 76. 77 (2) —155; W. M. Holland, 75, 77 (2) — 154; W. Lumsden, 76, 73 (4)—153. The button competition was won by G. Waddington with a score of 78. Next best were T. Middleton 77, Holland 77. E. J. Watson 69. J, E. Carr 77,
