YIELD OF WHEAT
ASHBURTON COUNTY STATISTICS LOWEST RETURN IN 1934-35 Statistics prepared by the Statistics Department show that 20.182,526 bushels of wheat were grown, in the Ashburton County during the last 10 years. The highest annual yiel<i was 2,594.252 bushels in the 1932-33 season, when wheat sown on 67,197 acres gave an average yield of 38| bushels an acre. The lowest yield was in 1934-35, when 1,481,296 bushels were produced from 60,226 acres. The average yield was 24 J bushels an'acre. Details of the crops during the last 10 seasons are as follows: —
