JOCKEY’S APPEAL ALLOWED
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, June 22. The New Zealand Racing Conference has allowed the appeal of the jockey, C. G. Goulsbro, against his disqualification for six months. Under Rule 282 of the Rules of Racing, Goulsbro was disqualified by the judicial committee of the Wanganui Jockey. Club, on the grounds that he did not ride the horse Catalogue on its merits in the Connolly Handicap, run on May 12, 1938. His appeal to the Racing Conference followed an unsuccessful appeal to the Wanganui District Committee.
