OTAGO’S ALPINE FLORA
ADDRESS ILLUSTRATED BY COLOURED SLIDES Lantern slides in- natural colours were used by Mr D. H. Leigh, of the Dunedin Botanic Gardens, to illustrate an address which he gave in -Christchurch on .Tuesday, evening. There was a large attendance. Mr Leigh, spoke on • Otago, its gardens, scenic beauty spots, and alpine flora, and his remarks were followed with close attention. The.. neaker referred to the zoning of alpine plants, in the mountainous districts of Central Otago and to experiences of botanists in this rugged country. He answered a number of questions, and' was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
