ELMWOOD’S CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING. CORRECT. ATTIRE FOR BOWLERS DISCUSSED Correct attire for bowlers was discussed at the annual meeting of the Elmwood Bowling Club on Tuesday evening. As the question will be considered at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Bowling Centre, Mr T. D. Lennie (delegate of the club) asked for the views of members. Hatherley, and J. P. Fry. It was decided to limit future membership to 80 playing members, and to empower the executive to electrify the mowing machine. NEW BRIGHTON CLUB MEETS FINANCIAL POSITION SATISFACTORY “The financial position is quite satisfactory, the balance due to the bank having been reduced by £25, and there being a surplus of assets amounting to £379 os 2d ” said the report submitted to the twenty-fifth annual meeting of the New Brighton Bowling Club last evening. The report congratulated L. W. Besley, its singles champion, on bringing to the club the Maddlson trophy. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of Messrs Farr and Robins was passed. .... . ..
