FIVE O’CLOCK PARTY
To celebrate the birthday of their only daughter, Patricia, Mr ‘ and Mrs F. Jones, Rakaia, gave a 5 o’clock party in the lodge rooms. Games, competitions, and dancing were enjoyed, and items were given by Nelly Grennell (songs), Doreen Pluck (tap dance), Kathleen Morrison (Irish jig), Patricia Jones (song), V. Forsythe (piano solo). Trevor Mead (piano solo), R. Grennell (song). Competitions were won by Misses. Kathleen Morrison, Nola Street; Doreen Pluck, and Mr W. O’Connor.
