Prom time to time questionnaires are issued to youth by leaders of tho various Christian communions io discover what young people are thinking. Challenge (Longmans. Green and Co. Ltd. 114 pp, 3/fr net.), by M. R. Bennett, appears to be written by a young man. The style is abrupt and colloquial, though relieved by impish humour. The narrative chapters on the person and message of Christ are lacking in spiritual insight and show the marks of immaturity. The chapter oil the challenge the totalitarian states make to organised Christianity is worth reading, while the conclusion that the decadence of religion in Russia was a contributory factor to the revolution is well set out.
