PUPILS FOR FLYING TRAINING
CIVIL RESERVE AND AIR FORCE PILOTS
Six new trainees, three of them for the Royal New Zealand Air Force and three for the Civil Reserve of Pilots, will report to the Canterbury Aero Club very shortly preparatory to undertaking their training. The Air Force trainees have three months in which to complete 50 hours of instruction, with lectures in addition, and the trainees for the Civil Reserve, have, to put in 40 hours in their first year, and 10 hours in each of the two succeeding years as refresher courses.
The candidates for the Air Force training are Messrs W. J. Farnsworth (Fairlie), G. R. Mac Donald (Fairlie), and J. A. Poulsen (Christchurch). Those for the Civil - Reserve are Messrs F. W. Brandt, R. M. McKay, and J. H. Deans, all of Christchurch,
