ASTRONOMER COMMITS SUICIDE
4> SAN FRANCISCO, June 14. Dr. William Campbell, the astronomer; aged 76, a former president of the University of California, and director of the 'famous Lick Observatory, jumped from the fourthfloor window of his apartment and was killed. He had been despondent and left notes for his family.
