TWO NEW OFFICERS FOR DOMINION WIDE EXPERIENCE ABROAD (>•{lß3 TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, June 15. Because Of the rapid expansion of air services and flying within the 'Duminiph, it baa been found necessary to increase the staff of the inspectional branch Qf the Air Department. The Minister in (charge of the department ithp Hon. F. Jones) announced this evening that Mr A, P. Hunt had been selected to All the position of aircraft Inspector, with headquarters, at Wellington. Mr Hunt and family were expected to leave England for New Zealand within the next, few wee^e. Mr Hunt, sgid the Minister, was an Associate of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and in addition was a licensed ground engipeer and pilot. He served his apprenticeship with the Handley Page Company, and for 10J years was Chief inspector of various ciyllian aircraft companies. Mr Hunt had also been employed by Airspeed Oxford, Ltd. .

. As already announced, the chief inspector of aircraft for the Dominion (Mr R. C. Kean) is going abroad, and Mr E. J. Carpenter, who left Croydon by air on May 19, arrived in New Zealand last week on exchange with Mr Kean. ,

The Minister said that Mr Carpenter, who would have his headquarters at WeUington, had served with the Fairey Aviation Company and with the Westland Aircraft Company as senior inspector. Mr Carpenter had also been associated with foe Fairchild Aviation Company.
