SUPPLEMENTARY NAVAL ESTIMATES
* AUSTRALIAN DEALINGS WITH BRITAIN LONDON, June 2. The Supplementary * Naval Estimates total £2,410,000, including £ 1,773,000 for new construction and £92,000 as the first instalment on the purchase of the seaplane carrier Albatross from Australia. The estimates also. provide for the receipt from Australia of a first instalment of £450,000 towards the price of the cruiser which is being: transferred to Australia. The new construction programme comprises two' battleships, seven cruisers, one aircraft-carrier, one fleet arm supply ship, three submarines, three mine-layers, one destroyer, one submarine depot shit?, two gunboats, and 11 minor craft.
