BUILDING PERMITS IN MAY
. * DECREASE OF £7191 IN VALUE FIGURES COMPARED WITH LAST YEAR One more building permit was Issued by the Christchurch City Council during last month than in May, 1937, but the total value of last month’§ permits was £7l£l less than that for the corresponding month last year. The value of permits issued in the Sydenham, Linwood,. and Spreydon wards in May this year was higher than was the case a year ago. Wards in .which a decrease in value was noted were central (inner and outer areas), St. Albans, and Woolstort. Details of the permits issued have been supplied by the council as follows: MAY, 1938
