IN-CALF, 9 IN-CALF HEIFERS, 9 YEARLING HEIFERS, and 15 STUD BULLS. 4 and, immediately following, will sell without reserve on behalf of MR L. A. KNUTSON, Dalefield, from his noted Turepo herd. 10 STUD COWS, IN-CALF. 9 IN-CALF HEIFERS, and 2 TWO-YEAR-OLD STUD BULLS The Ahikouka Friesian Stud, founded in 1920, is one of the most outstanding in the Dominion both for type and heavy production. The Stud was founded on the famous high-testing Bainfield Topsy blood and, in addition to the many outstanding butter-fat records produced in the herd, _ victories have been won in the leading show rings of the Dominion including the Royal, Manawatu, Wairarapa, and Masterton Shows, while cattle exported to Australia have won leading honours at the Melbourne and Sydney Royal Shows. The females comprising the present herd are practically all young cows and the young cattle are a magnificent lot. Included amongst the bulls which have been specially retained for the sale are some of the best yet bred in this noted Stud. The famous herd sire, Ahikouka Judge Beets (dam’s record. 7571 b fat, average test 4.27 per cent.; grand-dam’s record, 8631 b fat), is one of the best breeding bulls in the Dominion to-day. _ Mr Knutson is reducing his noted Turepo herd by the sale of 21 head. All of the cows catalogued for unreserved sale are young and have Government O.H. Test records. This herd is also noted for its type and excellent production.
