BRITISH-FRENCH AIR STAFF TALKS
COLLABORATION IN DEFENCE PREPARATIONS
(Received May 29, 8.45 p.m.)
LONDON, May 28,
The Chief of the French Air General Staff, General Vuillemin, accompanied by five senior officers, will arrive in London to-morrow on a six days’ tour of air stations and factories, in conjunction with discussions with the British Air Staff. The “Daily Herald” sees in this visit a forerunner of the co-ordina-tion of British, and French power. It says: “British military aircraft will shortly visit France to accustom themselves to French air stations and enable French pilots and gunners to recognise Britain’s new types. A whole chain of French air bases is planned for British use as defence aerodromes and bombing centres.”
