SALVATION ARMY MEN'S HOME

TO THB BDITOB or TSM PKBSS. Sir, —May I appeal to the readers of this paper, and others for gifts of clothing, boots, etc., for the men? The Salvation Army Men’s Home at Addington undertakes a very big work in the interest of men,' temporarily destitute, those released from prison, and for many other cauSfes which prompt them to seek the shelter and help that we are able to give. This will be seen in the fact that for , 12 months we have had over an average of 100 men a day. We have assisted these men in every way possible—clothed them ready for work, assisted them to their employment, etc.; and now that the winter months are upon us there is an Incessant demand for warm clothing, and either these or -cash will be very acceptable. Any gifts’ could be called for by ringing telephone 36-557, or addressing the parcels to 62 Poulson street, Addington.—Yours, etc., EDWIN THORNE, Manager Salvation Army Men’s Industrial Home. May 27. 1938.
