LABOUR POLICY

SO THK CDITOB O t TUB rutt. Sir, —Would you kindly let me liav% a little space to reply to Ur Ingram and several others who have gone to a lot of trouble to criticise the Labour Government. As I have worked on farms for the last 23 years and never been oufof work I should know what I am talking about- I started work when the _ late Hon. W. Massey was Prime Minister, and have teikea an interest in politics ever since. I challenge Mr Ingram and his friends to tell us of any government that has done as much for the thousands of farm workers as the Labour Government has. If he can name one. I am quite willing to give £2 to any cause he likes to mention. Mr Hamilton talks about our getting 10s 5d a day. He seems to forget that we only got that much a week under his crowd. This Government is trying to do something for domestic workers, and I think it is about time, because farm workers and domestic workers are the hardest worked and poorest paid people in New Zealand to-day. Or does Mr Ingram think we are overpaid- I do not agree with the Labour Government in a lot of things it is doing, but you cannot get away from the fact that it has given us a rise which I tarns most persons will agree we deserve. Yours, sic.. rAIR play. May 27. 1932 L ■
