MARSHLAND SUB-BRANCH At the monthly meeting of the Marshland sub-branch of the Plunket Society Mrs L. Hale (president) presided. A vote- of sympathy in her bereavement was passed to -Mrs R. Grattan. The balance-sheet of the recent effort to raise funds for the Karitane Hospital building appeal was presented, and it was decided to vote a further £5 to this cause. Mrs Hale was appointed a trustee for the post office account in place of Mrs Waugh, who has left the district.
