KIBBLEWHITE—SMITH

The marriage took place at St. Phillip's Church, St. Hehers, Auckland, this week of Miss Jocelyn Smith, youngest daughter of Mrs A. W. Jamieson (St. Heliers. Auckland), to Mr Robert Kibblewbite. elder son of Mr and Mrs F. Kibblewbite, Templeton, Canterbury. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. L. E. Cartridge. •

. The bride wore an ice-blue satin frock and coatee and a silver cap with shoulder-length veil. Her bouquet was of white roses and begonias. The*bridesmaid, 'Miss Kura Smith, sister ; of the bride, wore an apricot figured taffeta frock'and a halo of silver leaves and roses. She carried a bouquet of carnations to tone. The bride's mother wore a black ring velvet frock and a black toque with a veil, and carried a bouquet of red carnations. Relatives were entertained at a reception held in the Domain Kiosk. At St Andrew's Presbyterian Church Ashburton, the wedding was SebSted recently of ThetaaDor£ thy, only child of the late Mr and Mrs W D. FINLAY—MATTHEWS

At the Methodist Church, Rangiora, the wedding was celebrated recently of Vera, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Matthews (Rangiora), to George, youngest son of Mr and Mrs W Finlay. Cust. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. Ryan, and Mr Lane was the organist The bride was escorted by her father. Her trained frock was of ivory satin, and her veil of embroidered tulle was caught to the head with a wreath of orange blossom. She carried chrysanthemums, begonias, and maidenhair The two bridesmaids. Miss M. Matthews, sister of the bride, and Miss Grace Finlay, sister of the bridegroom, wore frocks of pink and blue crepon respectively, and picture hats to tone with their bouquets. Mr H- Matthews was best man. and Mr J. Eder acted as groomsman. A reception was held at the home of I the bride's parents. Mrs Matthews was wearing a navy suit with a hat to tone, and carried a posy of autumntinted flowers. The bridegrooms mother wore a black frock relieved with white, and a hat to match, and carried flowers in autumn tonings. For travelling, the bride wore a blue suit, and a halo hat to tone.

O'REILLY—TODD

A recent wedding was that of Lily Barrett, third daughter of the late Mr D T. Todd and of Mrs Todd (Linwood) and Mr Maurice O'Reilly, of Wellington, fourth son of Mr and Mrs M. O'Reilly, Highbank. The Rev. Father McKeon performed the ceremony at the Catholic Cathedral, Barbadoes street, and Miss O'Connor was organist . The bride's frock of ivory satin had an inset yoke of net, and the long train, formed by a panel inset in the skirt was appliqued with water lilies of satin. Her beautifully embroidered veil of ivory net was caught beneath a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of chrysanthemums, lilies, and freesias. Mr E. M. Todd escorted his sister. Mrs R. A. Nolan, the bride's sister, and her niece. Miss Nada Todd, who attended the bride, wore frocks of cyclamen and green taffeta with overdresses of net; and their haloes were of pleated net to match. They carried trailing bouquets of asters and irises in cyclamen shades. Miss Lois Watson (Rangiora), who attended as trainbearer, wore a gold satin frock with net overdress, and carried a posy of irises and asters. Messrs J. and H. O'Reilly attended their brother. The bride received a miniature horseshoe from her niece, Erica May Todd (Timaru). Guests were received at the Mayfair Lounge by Mrs Todd, who wore a black ensemble, with a fur stole and black felt hat. Her shoulder spray was of dahlias and freesias. The bridegroom's mother chose a navy frock and hat and pinned a spray of lemon Iceland poppies on her fur necklet. The bride travelled in a rust-col-oured suit and a felt toque trimmed with a fur mount and eye veil. She wore also a skunk fur necklet. Mr and Mrs Maurice L. O'Reilly will live in Wellington.

MOULD—DONAGHEY

At St. John's Church, Latimer square, the wedding was celebrated recently of Eileen, only daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Donaghey, Lyttelton. to Richard David, second son of Mr and Mrs W. Mould. Okain's Bay. The Rev. J. T. McWilliam officiated and Mr Claude Davies was organist. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a trained frock of white duchesse satin trimmed with satin-covered buttons, with niching at the V neckline and at the hem. Her white tulle veil billowed out to form a train, the halo holding it to the head being composed of orange blossom. She carried white roses, dahlias, and freesias. Shamrocks were appliqued on the trains of apple-green duchesse satin frocks worn by the bridesmaids, Misses Vida Mould and Mavis Hayward, sister and cousin of the bridegroom. Pink flowers on the corsage introduced contrast and pink flowers also composed the coronets holding in position their short veils of green tulle. They carried pink roses and dahlias. Miss Coral Mould, cousin of the bridegroom, attended as flower girl, wearing a shell-pink frock of sprigged silk organdie, and frilling trimmed the ankle-length skirt. Mould, wore a black ensemble and carried cream roses and violets. The bride travelled in a brown woven tunic suit trimmed with red buttons and a brown hat and coat. She wore also a brown fox fur, the gift of the bridegroom.

At St Canice's Church, Westport, the marriage was celebrated of Alice, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Edwards (Granity), to John Rogers, nephew of Mr and Mrs J. Tippen, Granity. The Rev. Father Phelan officiated and Miss Mary Scanlon was organist. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory satin, the bodice being finished with a deep lace collar and satin buttons. At St. Luke's Anglican Church, Glentunnel, the marriage was celebrated of Kenneth Leslie, youngest son of Mr and M7s W. Kellaway (Hororata) and Mary, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. The wedding was solemnised at the Temuka Presbyterian Church recently of Richard Coles, youngest son of Mr and Mrs Payne (Orari) and Rame, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs John Kernahan, Temuka. The Rev. J. P. Reid (Orari) officiated, and Miss Lmda Cain was organist . The bride was attended by her sister Miss Annie Kernahan, and Miss Shona Payne, sister of the bridegroom. The bridegroom's mother was wearing a nigger brown crepe de chine frock with a floral tunic, a short fur coat, and a brown hat trimmed with fawn and brown ribbon. She pinned a spray of chrysanthemums on her coat. When Mr and Mrs R. C. Payne left on their wedding tour the bride was wearing a smart navy costume and a musquash fur with hat to match.
