GOLF COURSE UNFIT FOR PLAY
BRITISH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP ARRANGEMENTS

The Royal and Ancient Golf Club announces that because of the inundation of the sea in February and the subsequent drought, the Deal golf course will be unfit for play in the open championship, beginning on July 4. Arrangements are being made to hold the championship elsewhere, probably at Sandwich,
