BELFAST-KAIAPOI ROD AND GUN CLUB
PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES
The annual meeting and smoke concert of the Belfast-Kaiapoi Rod and Gun Club were held in the Belfast Town Hall, Mr G. Ebert presiding over a good attendance. Mr Ebert said the club had had a successful year. The membership was now more than 250 and the balance-sheet showed* the club to be in a sound financial position. The election of officers resulted: — Patron. Mr W. P. Spencer; president, Mr G. Ebert; vice-presidents, Messrs C. Morgan Williams, M.P.. H. Kent Smith; secretary, Mr A. W. Jones; treasurer, Mr N. E. King; auditor, Mr W. T. Rogers; committee, Messrs N. Ashby, R. Chapman, A. A. Gibbs, L. Inwood, F. Pearcy. J. Philpott, J. W. Simpson, and S. Wiffin. The club's trophies for clay-bird shooting were presented to the winners by the Hon. P. C. Webb as follows:—Campion cup for annual competition between Waihora and BelfastKaiapoi Rod and Gun Clubs, BelfastKaiapoi; Pattison Ede shield, F. Horwell; Tisdall cup, F. Horwell; Pomfret cup, J. W. Simpson; Heeney challenge cup, J. W. Simpson; Hammond challenge cup, A. Cooper; Christmas shoofr aggregate cup, J. w. Simpson.
