WINTER FEASTS
Little birds, in autumn You were bright and gay, But now the winter's coming And autumn's passed away. Cold winds now are blowing, Snow is on the hill, Come and find your breakfast On the window sill.
The rain will soon be coming, And a hailstorm, too, Grey clouds are gathering And blotting out the blue. ' —AUDREY DEANS (aged 11). L.8.H., P.8.H., A. 8., Kilmarnock.
