INSTALLATION SERVICE
THE REV*. H. F. HARDING
WELCOMED
At a service held in St. Chad’s Church, North Linwood, the Rev. H. P. Harding, who has just arrived from England to take charge of the parish, was installed as vicar by the Bishop of Christchurch, assisted by Archdeacon A. K. Warren. Others present included Dean Julius, Canon Staples Hamilton, Canon Williams, and the Rev. W. S. Southward, the Rev. H. A. Childs, the Rev. I. L. Richards, and the Rev. C. E. Muschamp. After the service, the new vicar and the clergy were entertained in the Parish Hall, Bishop West-Watson presiding. Mr Harding was welcomed on behalf of the parishioners and senior organisations by Messrs C. T, Campion and J. S. Jenkins (churchwardens), Mr S. Baggott on behalf of the junior organisations and Sunday schools, and by Archdeacon Warren on behalf of the clergy of the diocese. Items were given by Mrs Boon and Mr R. Lilly, and supper was served by the ladies.
