HAVOC AMONG RETREATING JAPANESE

LONDON, April 5,
The Hong Kong correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says that in spite of contradictory reports, unprejudiced observers agree that the recent operations in the Shantung and Shansi areas, particularly in Taierchwang, demonstrate that China has the advantage. The Chinese Air Force is causing havoc among the retreating Japanese units, machine-gunning and bombing them throughout the day, while guerrilla troops attack them by night.
