KAWATIRI ROWING CLUB
CREWS TO VISIT NELSON AND
PICTON
Crews representing the Kawatiri Rowing Club will visit Nelson and Picton during the Easter holidays. At Nelson the annual contest tor the Gothard, Harley, and Jones Cups will be held on Easter Saturday between the Kawatiri and Nelson Clubs. On Easter Monday at Pioton, Kawatiri will race against crews in the Marlborough district for the C. J. Atkin and Craddock Cups. ' , , Mr E. O. Trail has selected the following to represent Kawatiri in these races;— Gothard Cup crew: J. Hale (str), J. Bonisch (3), J. Wilson (2), G. H. Fraser (bow). Jones Cup (youths) crew: T. Coyne (str), H. Williams (3), G. Davis (21, E. Norris (bow). Second youths’ crew: C. Interman (str), N. Comerford (3), A. E. Molony (2), R. Roberts (bow). Three members of the Harley Cup crew, R. Dillon (3), R. Ryan (2), and W. Ryan (bow), have been selected, but the stroke has not been decided on. If available, F. Doncliffe will probably fill this position, and if not K. Brown may be called on. Bonisch, who has been chosen in the Gothard Cup crew, is only a first year oarsman.
