SECOND VICTIM DIES IN HOSPITAL
EARLY MORNING COLLISION NEAR TIMARU
The death occurred in the Timaru Hospital yesterday morning of George Keane, aged 19, of Woodbury, the second victim of a fatal collision between a motor-car and a motor-cycle last Friday morning. Keane, who was riding the motor-cycle, was taken to hospital suffering from a compound fracture of the right thigh and ankle, and shock. He was operated on on Monday, but died at 8.15 yesterday.
MOTOR-CYCLIST SERIOUSLY INJURED
(press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, March 22.' When the front tyre of the motorcycle he was riding blew out, C. H. Brandon, a warehouseman, of 72 Wairiki road, Auckland, suffered a fracture of the base of the skull and shock. He was taken to hospital. His condition is serious.
CHILD’S DEATH FROM INJURIES
STRUCK BY CAR NEAR PATEA
WANGANUI, March 22. Graeme Boyd Hatcher, aged 7, whose parents live in Wanganui, died in the Patea Hospital to-day from injuries suffered when he was struck by a motor-car near Patea on Sunday morning.
