THE EUROPEAN CRISIS
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir, —“Economic Democracy’’ slates there is overwhelming evidence that Bolshevism was imposed upon Russia by Jewish international financiers! The Bolshevik ideal of Lenin and Trotsky was the international dictatorship of the proletariat with the confiscation of all property. Why should international financiers wish to have all their property confiscated? As it was, the repudiation of all her debts' by Russia must have been an unpleasant experience for the financiers. I can understand their support of Russia at the present time as a counterpoise to Germany, but that they should have supported Lenin and Trotr sky before Fascism was even born is unthinkable. „ Lenin was returned to, Russia by Germany during the war in order to paralyse Russia. Trotsky returned from America and I believe Britain could have prevented his return had she wished to do so. According to Trotsky’s book, both he and Lenin believed that Bolshevism, if confined to Russia, must fail, Russia being too backward and requiring the support of the proletariat in more advanced countries for its economic development so that the movement at that time was a definite menace to international financiers. — Yours, etc., ' LJB.B.
