Judgment for the plaintiff for £1 9s with costs, was given when the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners (Mr B. A. Barrer) claimed that amount from A. J. Simpson, for arrears in subscriptions. In a claim by Christie’s Car Sales, Ltd. (Mr K. J. McMenamin) for £3l 0s Bd, from Eric William Mason (Mr W. Cowlishaw) and Jack Clydesdale (Mr W. F. Tracy), for damages to a car given into Clydesdale's charge by the plaintiff company, judgment was given for the plaintiff for the full amount. The accident occurred when Clydesdale had, without the consent of the plaintiff company, placed the car in the care of Mason, who wrecked it when he hit a telegraph 'pole on the way to Sumner.
