LAND SALE ROOMS, CASHEL STREET, CHRISTCHURCH, ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23rd, 1938. AT 2.30 O’CLOCK. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-oper-ative Association of Canterbury, Limited, have received instructions from A. J. Tutton, Esq., to SELL BY PUBLIC AUCTION, in their Land Sale Rooms, Cashel street, Christchurch, on Wednesday, March 23rd, at 2.30 o’clock, his well and favourably known property, “Wai-Iti,” situated on South Eyre road, Swannanoa, comprising TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-TWO ACRES (more or less), together with Homestead Buildings, to be sold in two lots as follows: LOT 1—1398 Acres and “Wai-Iti” Homestead. LOT 2—934 Acres and Dwelling. DESCRIPTIONLOT 1: About 375 acres of the Homestead Block comprises the very richest of river-made land, the soil of which is deep, rich, and black, has produced up to 55 bushels o| wheat to the acre, and is rare clover and lucerne land. The balance is of a lighter nature, but all capable of producing good crops of oats, rape, kale, and turnips, and there is no district where sheep and lambs fatten better. . Lot 1 is subdivided into 21 converu-ent-sized paddocks by gorse and wire fences, and at present there are 111 acres in rape and grass, 76 acres just sown with Rye and Subterranean Clover, 99 acres of rape and subterranean clover, balance in grass from one to four years. The balance is of a lighter nature, but all capable of producing good crops of oats, rape, kale, and turnips, and there is no district where sheep and lambs fatten better; subdivided into 10 convenient-sized paddocks by gorse and wire fences, and at present there are 140 acres in turnips, 80 acres just sown with rye and subterranean clover, 78 acres of lucerne, balance in grass from one to four years. The whole property is exceptionally well watered by County Races. Buildings comprise a two-storied dwelling of seven rooms, large stable and chaffhouse. The above properties are situated in one of the soundest districts in Canterbury, about 12 miles from Rangiora, 18 miles from Christchurch, and two miles from Swannanoa Railway Station.
