♦ BROADCAST DEBATE CANCELLED “INOPPORTUNE” BECAUSE OF DEVELOPMENTS (Received March 6, 11.10 p.m.) LONDON, March 6. The British Broadcasting Corporation has cancelled its broadcast debate on the German claim for colonies, which was to have taken place on Friday. Mr L. 1. Amery, Mr Harold Nicholson, and Mr George Glasgow were to have participated. The reasons given were that the debate was "inopportune because of recent international developments” and in view of the possible British conversations with Germany next week.
