Hutchison, the senior referee to the Christchurch Amateur Boxing and Sports Club, rules that a contestant who is knocked out of the ring in a bout is required to re-enter the ring and resume the contest without delay; but he is allowed 20 seconds if, in the referee's opinion, he needs that time.
