His Excellency the Apostolic Delegate (the Most Rev. J. Panico) has contracted a slight chill and is at present in the Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Auckland. A motion of sympathy with th.e relatives of Mr P. W. Campbell, who died recently, was passed at a meeting last night of the Christchurch Technical College Board of Governors. Mr Campbell, who was on the staff of the Christchurch West High School, taught for some years at the college's evening classes. Sir James Allen, the Hon. T. F. Doyle, and the Hon. F. Waite, members of the Legislative Council, were passengers by the steamer express from the north yesterday morning. Mr A. H. Nordmeyer, M.P., Mr H. E. Herring, M.P., and Mr C. Morgan Williams, M.P., arrived by the steamer express from the north yesterday morning. Mr S. W. Kelly was an arrival by the steamer express from Wellington yesterday morning. Mr David Jones was a passenger from the north on the steamer express yesterday morning. Mr P. F. Mann, of Christchurch, will leave for a trip to England at the end of April. Mr F. T. Evans, who for some weeks has been a patient in St. George's Hospital, has now returned to his home. Mr Edward Davis, of Melbourne, has spent a month in Christchurch after an absence of 25 years. Mr Davis, who is a cousin of Sir Ernest Davis, of Auckland, will leave to-day for Sydney.
