4> JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVE TEAM CHRISTCHURCII SUBURBAN ASSOCIATION The junior representative team of the Christchurch Suburban Cricket Association to play the North Canterbury juniors at Ranglora on March 9 and 10 has been selected as follows:-C. Llddell, D. Angus, ft. Mace, J, Ainger, D. Moynlhan, H. Skinner, F. Milne. C. Smith. J. Bell. %. Malley, A. S. Smith (captalh). C. Jordan. Any player Who is not able to attend must notify the manager (Mr A. J. Smith). GREENDALE BEATS VETERANS A cricket match full of interest was played on the Hagley Park oval, between n visiting team from Qreendaie and the Veterans Club. Greendale, which won by 80 ruhs, won the toss and sent the Veterans in to bat on a wicket slightly in favour of the bowlers. Bach side played 13 men. The Veterans made a useful total of 192 by careful batting. The chief contributors were H. Elvy 50 (retired), A. King 34. E. C. Tipping 27. F. Weld 12. and W. Randall 27 not out, ail batting soundly. A. Marshall, who took two wickets for 6 runs. H. Shipley, one for 1, A. Shipley, four for 44, F. CUllen, two for 54, and C. Adams, one for 35, bowled well for Greendale. Greendale gave a vigorous display of batting and easily passed their opponents' total, knocking up 272 runs in quick time. The chief scorers were F. B. Shipley 50, A. Shipley 44. H: Marshall 41. and B. Shipley 40 fall retired), K. Watson 25, E. Adams 24, G. Hayes 10. and H. Shipley ID not out. The best bowlers for the Veterans were W. Randall, one wicket for 18 runs, F. Bentley. one for 2(5, H. E. Lawrence, one for 34, H. Blazey, one for 48, and H. Elvy, three for 120.
