EMPTY BENCHES IN PARLIAMENT

TO THI BOITOB Or TH» PBKS9. Sir, —With the General Election cjuickly drawing near, it would be interesting to learn—for I think the electors are entitled to know—who were absent from the House on Wednesday night, also the member who was asleep at his post. We want to he represented in Parliament by men we know will work in our interests, not by, shall I say, "lead-swingers." People cry down our Public Works Department for harbouring loafers, while our Minister for Public Works denies these statement by saying he will not tolerate loafers, yet we find his .colleagues setting us a fine example,—Yours, etc., FED UP. March 4, 1938.
