COUNTY COUNCILS. RANGIORA COUNTY COUNCIL. Proposal for Special Loan pursuant to the provisions or ‘‘The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926." \TOTICji. IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rangiora County Council proposes to raise by way of Special Loan the sum of Ten Thousand Pounds. The particular purpose for which the Loan is required is:— Providing the County’s shars of the cost of consolidating and sealing- that portion of the KaiapoiWaddington via Rangiora Highway as is within the County (known as the Skew Bridge Drain road and the Oxford road) and the cost of preparing specifications, raising the Loan and meeting Engineering supervision expenses. The Council - proposes to borrow the said sum by the issue of debentures by virtue of the provisions of the above-men-tioned Act, arid for the purpose of securing the sum and providing for the Interest and Sinking Fund in respect thereof, further proposes to make and levy a Special Annual recurring rate of Twenty-one one hundredths of a "penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Rangiora County. It is proposed that the Loan shall bear interest at a rate not exceeding £3 10s per centum per annum, with a Sinking Fund of £8 10s per centum per annum, and that the currency of the i_.oan shall not exceed 10 years. It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising the Loan and the preliminary expenses involved.

T3UBLIC NOTICE is hereby given i that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the County of Rangiora, and of all persons entitled to vote on any proposal of the Rangiora County Council to raise a Loan, will be taken on TUESDAY, the 22nd day of March, 1938, on the proposal of the Rangiora County Council (as advertised in “The Press” newspaper of even dates) to raise a Special Loan of TEN THOUSAND POUNDS for the purpose of providing the County’s share of the cost of consolidating and sealing that portion of the Kaiapoi-Waddington via Rangiora Highway as is within the County (known as the Skew Bridge Drain road and the Oxford road) and the cost of preparing specifications, raising the Loan, and meeting engineering supervision expenses.

The said Poll will commence at 9 o’clock in the forenoon of the day appointed for the Poll, and will close at 6 o’clock in the afternoon of the same day.
