THE SPORT OF FENCING

The growth of the sport of fencing has resulted in a movement in Christchurch to form a New Zealand Amateur Fencing Association. The calling of a conference for this purpose has been delayed through time taken over foreign correspondence, but all the spade work has now been done, and it remains for clubs to meet, adopt a constitution, and discuss the general policy to be carried out by the association. The conference, which will be held on March 26 and 27, is being convened by two well-known members of the Christchurch Swords Club, Messrs J G. D. Ward and C. E. Purchase.
