AVGNDALE CLUB'S OPENING FIRST MATCHES OF SEASON The weather was fine for the opening 5f the Avondale Golf Club's playing season on Saturday. SUMMER SEASON CLOSED AT HAREWOOD

The last matches of the summer season 'were played over the week-end by the Harewood Golf Club. The clbsing day flagon was won by J. R. Woodward (24) with two good rounds of 69 and 70, giving him a net score of 139. He was followed by C. G. Penlington (9), 144. and C. L. Crowlev (8), 145.
