WEDDING
PROBYN—BROSNAHAN
The wedding took place on Wednesday .morning at St. Joseph's Church, Temuka, of Elizabeth Mary, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Brosnahan, "Pinegrove," Seadown, and Thomas Francis, only son of Mr and Mrs T. H. Probyn. Waimataitai, Timaru. The Rev. Father J. Stewart, S.M., officiated and celebrated Nuptial Mas*. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a trained frock of ivory brocaded georgette made with v-neckline caught with a diamente brooch and large bow at the waistline at the back. Her embroidered veil of tulle was worn with a halo of cfange blossom. She carried a bouquet of gladioli and roses. Miss Dorothy Brosnahan attended her sister as bridesmaid and Mr Richard Connolly was best man. Miss Brosnahan's frock of salmon pink silk cloque was made with redingote effect and ■was worn with a plait of the material and forget-me-nots in her hair. She carried a bouquet of salmon pink roses and gladioli. At the reception held at "Pinegrove" Mrs Brosnahan received her guests wearing a frock of wine coloured georgette with hat and shoulder spray to match.
Mrs Probyn, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of black lace over black satin and a black hat with a crown of cornflowers. She wore a shoulder spray of red roses. For travelling, the bride wore an ensemble of navy cloth, the redingote having wide revers and close fitting sleeves. She wore a navy hat to match. Mr and Mrs T. F. Probyn will live in Napier.
