LAMB SLIGHTLY EASIER
The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board advises that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods, sold on Thursday, February 24. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week on which this list is issued- All prices are on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market (previous prices are also shown): — . Feb. Feb. Feb. The tendency of the lamb market is easier, but consumption is satisfactory for the time of year. In the mutton market light-weight wethers and ewes are steady, owing to the shortage of supplies. The tendency of other descriptions is easier, with a poor demand. Frozen beef is firmer on a better demand owing to the higher prices of chilled. Chilled beef is firmer this week on lighter supplies.
New Zealand porker pigs are slow, with light-weights slightly easier. The market for New Zealand baconer pigs is steady at slightly higher prices.

BUTTER QUIET IN LONDON

LONDON, February 24. Butter is steady. Danish is quoted at 127 s per cwt, choicest salted New Zealand 113 s. Australian 112 s; unsnlted New Zealand 116 s, Australian 115 s. Cheese is quiet. New Zealand white 675, coloured 67s 6d; Australian 65s to 65s Cd, coloured 60s.
