From the Mauch Twins
You know the famous Mauch twins, Billy and Bobby, don't you? Perhaps you saw them in "The Prince and the Pauper?" Well, here is a really true letter from them both, telling how they spend their days, and describing their hobbies. You'll like this letter from two famous screen stars, who are just two natural, happy-go-lucky boys.
Hullo, Everyone !
this morning, and arrived at the studio at 9 o'clock to go to school. We got through with our lessons at noon. After lunch we went out to our new home and sprinkled the lawn, flowers, garden, and had a lot of fun watching an exterminator get rid of some black window spiders that had their nests in our garage. We found three great big ones. They were dead and we put them in a bottle and brought them home to mom, but she took one look and wouldn't let us keep them to experiment with under our microscope. Well, that took about half of our day. Bob will tell you the rest.
These are the Mauch twins ipeaking. We are going to try to answer your questions about what we do in a day. and we decided that our days are generally always different. We have bicycles, go fwimming or horse-back riding,
"Hello, this is Bobby (the other half). After we got home we took our motor-bicycle and went for a ride. We went about a mile from our home and found a nest of lizards in a vacant lot. We tried to catch some of them, but they were too fast for us. We are going to try to make a trap and go back there some day and catch them. We had a lot of fun dodging a boy with a candid camera who was trying to snap us. After we got back from our ride we went up on the
like, box, act in movies, play ping pong, collect stamps, take pictures, and try to build different things. We have just finished a home-made incubator. We have ordered some hatching eggs and are going to try to. hatch them in it. Now we'll feu you what we did to-day.
This is station BILLY broadcasting. ' Til tell you what we did for half of the day and Bob will tell you the rest. We got up at 8 o'clock
roof of our apartment building and shot at targets with our air rifles. By that time it was dinner time. After dinner we read the paper awhile, then got out our chemical set and experimented with different chemicals. We tried to make a glue to repair a statue that we broke. It wasn't quite sticky enough, so we gave it up, but we'll try again to-morrow. We have a lot of fun with our chemical set. We can make artificial rubies, emeralds, and pearls. We then practised tying knots for our Boy Scout test which we will have to take soon. It is now time for us to go to bed, as it is 10 o'clock, so I guess I'll have to close. With all best wishes, we are, yours sincerely. BOBBY MAUCH. BILLY MAUCH. .
