TRAVELLING SOUTH
We welcome a new member, Ruth Foster, who comes from W hangar ei. In the following letter Ruth tells of her journey south: —
We have only just arrived at Christchureh, having been living in Wnangarei, from where we
motored down. We went from Whangarei to Auckland, where we stayed with relations for Christmas, and then at one of the
beaches for a week, where we spent a lazy time swimming and sunbathing. " From there we went to Rotorua, where we camped for
the night at the Rainbow Springs motor camp: then through Taupo to the Chateau Tongariro, where we stayed the night. From there, after a beautiful night under the protection of Mount Ruapehu, we went to Foxton, where we stayed the night, and then to Plimmerton, where we had lunch on the beach. Then over the hill to Wellington and on to Lyttelton. —RUTH FOSTER, Merivale.
