ABOLITION OF DEATH
PENALTY
STATUTORY PROVISION SOUGHT
At a recent meeting of the Christchurch branch of the No More War Movement the following resolution was passed, to be forwarded to the Minister for Justice and to the newspapers:— "This meeting protests against the pronouncing of the death sentence on Reginald Randall Smith, and requests the Government to make statutory provision for the abolition of capital punishment, which is wrong and inhuman under any circumstances."
