TELEVISION AIDS TO NAVIGATION
LONDON, February 24. Before embarking on the Strathaird for Australia, Mr John L. Baird, managing director of Baird Television, Ltd., announced that he will test throughout the voyage a "magic eye," which will enable navigators to see for 30 miles through fog. He also announced that he had recently been working on an aerial television set to enable a pilot to see the landscape at a distance of 50 miles.
