SOCIAL AND PERSONAL Miss Ann Gabites (Wai-itL road) left yesterday to take up studies at Canterbury- College. Mr and Mrs T. Mitchell and Miss Winifred Mitchell, who have- been staying • with ■Mr L. • Mitchell (Raukapuka), have taken up residence in Timaru. Miss Ada Inman (Cattle Valley) has returned from a visit to ner aunt, Mrs J. B. Stockey (Amberley). Mrs Seddon (Hamilton) is staying with Mrs W. F. Hamilton (“Ashwick,” Fairlie). Mrs C. W. F. Hamilton. (Irishman Creek) and her cousin. Miss Helen Guy-Smith (England) have returned from a visit to Mrs Bruce Stronach (Halswell). Miss Peggy Lange (Gisborne) arrived yesterday to stay with Mrs A. T. Morrison (Brunswick street). Miss Lange and Miss Sylvia Bracefield will act as bridesmaids at the wedding of Miss Edna Morrison tomorrow.
