MEETING OF ELLESMERE ASSOCIATION ft COMPETITIONS ARRANGED A meeting of the Ellesmere Bowling Association was held in the Dunsandel Club’s pavilion on Wednesday evening. The delegates presen' were Messrs F. Chamberlain (president), E. J. Chatterton, and H. A. Brown (Dunsandel), L! G. Walker (vice-president), J., Jackson and J. Creagh (Leeston), T. Bennett and A. J. Inwoo.d (Southbridge). March 5 was fixed for the starting of the association’s championships. The doubles and singles would bs played when the players in these two competitions were available. Mr F. Chamberlain 'was appointed green umpire, and the games will .be played on the Dunsandel green. The following draw' was arranged;—' Rinks: Leeston v. Dunsandel; Southbridge, a bye. Doubles: Leeston v. Southbridge; Dunsandel, a bye. Singles: Soulhbridg" v. Dunsandel; Leeston, a bye. It was agreed to hold a closing day for the association in place of the annual social for the presentation of the association’s trophies won during the season. This event will take place on the Leeston green on April 2, when flie members of the three clubs affiliated to the association will meet for play. The secretary \yas instructed to submit March 26 to the Malvern Association for a game with Malvern on the Leeston green. SHEFFIELD PLAYS DUNSANDEL Two rinks from the Sheffield Bowling Club visited the Dunsandel Club on Tuesday morning, and met two

rinks from the local club. The following were the results;— Sheffield (Ferguson, Bergh, Hewitt. Lilley) 22, Dunsandel (Macpherson. F. Bishop, K. W. McPherson, G. W. Kime) 22; Sheffield (Watson. Jenkins, Skurr, Townshend) 14, Dunsandel (H. W. Johnson, G Lloyd, G. Gardiner. John Walker) 18.
