WALTZ CHAMPIONSHIP AT RITZ ASSEMBLY
At the Ritz Assembly to-morrow evening the waltzing championships of New Zealand will be decided. Winning couples from Wellington, Dunedin, Timaru, and Christchurch will compete. Three judges from other ‘districts will decide the winners, who, besides cash prizes, will receive two silver cups valued at £4 4s. The Dunedin couple will arrive by aeroplane. This contest is the first waltz championship to *be decided in Christchurch for 25 years, and is arousing keen interest among the dancing public. £olin Campbell’s band will be in attendance.
