* : TENTATIVE SCHEME SUBMITTED TO ASSOCIATION A prbpbsed insurance scheme for players was submitted by Mr L. L. Smith to the Canterbury Hockey Associatidn. at its rrteetihg last night. Based brt a scheme used by the Mandwatu Hockey Association, the project CPUId, Mr Smith said, be financed by the association’s general fiihd. He suggested that it should be made compulsory for, all players above third grade to join the scheme, although special exemption should be made for players who were members of a Friendly Society.
