Sir, —I have jUst heard from a DUne(lin friend that they have not a destructor down there, and. that, the city’s rubbish dump is simply alive with rats, attracted there, nd doubt, by the decomposing garbage, and the disintegrating Corpses of sundry Cali, ddgs, etc. It is to be hoped that here in Christchurch, in the interest of public health, sUch a contingency will be guarded against.—Yours, etc., , .
