MORE PAY FOR FRENCH DEPUTIES
* INCREASE TO MEET HIGHER COST OF LIVING (Received February 2, 9 p.m.) LONDON, February 1. The Paris correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says that to counteract the higher cost of living, French Deputies have increased their salary to 82,500 francs, equivalent to £550, from the equivalent of £4OO.
